Halloween Fun At Poetry

October 26, 2004

Among the many who listened to Halloween poems with Prophetess Mnemosyne and Muse Euterpe were Trelaina, Doxie, Wasser B. Maus, Kanxiedo, Gel, and geddy lee. Many came to share Halloween poems that they remembered from their childhood or found in their readings. A few people recited their own works.

NOT Mine you DON'T!
by Wasser B. Maus

Rats and bats and cats OH MY,
Blocking our paths under the dark scary sky.
Trying with all their nasty might,
To cause us to run and drop our candies in the Night.
But we fooled them big and bad,
By eating every single candy we had!
Now our moms are rubbing our tummies,
and we are truly sick of Halloween yummies!

Roses are Red
by Dustybrat

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
If the spooks get me
I say Yoohoo!

Roses are Red
Violets are Blue
If they Get you
I'll cry boohoohoo

Since we had so many recite their favorite Halloween poems we did not have time for a group poem. But Prophetess Mnemosyne had a very big announcement for all who showed up today. Beginning next week, Muse Melpomene will be joining the Prophetess for Poetry hour which will move to to it's new time at 11 am WAT on Tuesday. Muse Euterpe will join Muse Thalia on Wednesday at Muse Potpourri.

Please join us next week in the graveyard when we hand out our last Halloween Bear.

All poems written by Muse visitors can be read in the Poetry Collection.
