Into the Evening

What a wonderful evening at Minister's Cat this Thursday! There was not a large crowd tonight and Calliope couldn't come because she was still at her Voice Lesson with Mother and I misplaced a whole box of Flutes, so you can imagine how pleased I was that Erato volunteered to join me. Her presence brought a delightful ~pinkness~ and added such a wonderful glow to our fun, she always makes me 'giggle' in ~pink~...~giggle~...see!

Sister started the game by choosing V, which proved to be v-ery fun indeed! ~giggle~ The Minister's Cat turned out to be somewhat of a v-irtuous, v-aliant, v-ictorious v-intner before ~*PRoSPeRiTy*~ repeated, faced the Wall, and gave us the next letter *P* which proved to be a very satisfactory letter indeed and I think her re-turn sentence will show how well that letter was used, as she followed the rule and described the Cat as a p-retty p-ooped, p-urrfectly p-ink, very p-ractical and oh so p-rosperous p-uritan! Now for those not familiar with the Rule; anyone facing the Wall may re-turn forward by using 3 old and 1 new word of the same letter in play. What a perfect lil gem of an example!

Soon Guild Master Skipper SK repeated and he too faced the Wall and then choose our next Letter for play *S*. It was hardly any time at all before he re-faced forward by suggesting the Minister's Cat was a s-cary s-uave s-quirt s-wimming in the river with Fred.

We could have played on forever, but the Hour tolled and our guests had to leave, although not without their choice of Flute, as a Thank You gift. Sister and I, stayed in the Garden waaaaay past Tea Time, reminiscing the Evening, until our thirst and hunger reminded us of the time and the warmth of the kitchen. We do hope we will see you all there next week! Thursday 7pm in the Garden with a View.
