AcroMusia for the New Year

January 5, 2006

Muses Thalia and Erato were delighted to be back in the garden after their mountain holiday retreat. “Greetings and Happy New Year to you all!” exclaimed Muse Erato with glee. “Lovely to be back and see all our terrific Parlour Players!” Muse Thalia said happily. After a wonderful chat about Muse snowboarding with their surfboards, and running Holiday trees, Muse Thalia started Parlour Games off with her traditional limerick as silly mood inspiration:

Was there an old Jester named Kyle?
Well, he collected dirty socks in a pile.
He said with a wink,
"These really do stink!
I think I'll go outside for a while!"

AcroMusia was the game of the day. It is similar to regular ACRO except each player takes only one letter and tries to make a word that would make sense in the sentence. The Muses thought it would be interesting if the game theme reflected New Year’s resolutions. The fun and laughter comprised of the following Acro”A”musings:

DIET - Disillusioned Inkspot Emitted Taffy.
EXERCISE - Eleven Xeroxes Entertained Rockettes Chipmunks In Synchronized Elegance!
HEALTHY - Hippos Eat Apples Like There's Huge-Supply Yorkshire-side!!
What a fun first round!

Clancee of Narnia bestowed pretty wreaths in the Muse’s favourite colors saying, “Since you missed the running Trees... here is a present for each of you!” The Muses were so happy and most grateful to wear their Keen Green and Perfectly Pink gifts!

Next round of New Year’s resolution themed AcroMusia fun went like this:

BUDGET - Beans Under Dirty Grunge Eventually Tumble.
PROMISE - People Remind Others Mealtime Isn't Strictly Eating.
PEACE - Please Enjoy Affordable Cocktails Evenings!

A wonderful time was had by all. Grateful Muses gave out their new flute appreciation gifts to all the happy players. Please join Muse Erato and Thalia every Thursday at 4:00 WAT for more fun in the Parlour at Morpheus Garden East.
