To herald the dawning of 2009 A.D. and our first Parlour Games of the new year, Erato and I had originally planned to ask our guests to suggest some New Year's Resolutions befitting our dearly beloved Jesters.

And then we caught sight of Lucky Lady - a cat so resplendent in her coat of white and gold that it made us go "oooo!" "ahhhhh" and put us in mind of our little sister Polyhymnia and the Minister's Cat. And so, by the usual, odd Parlour "arithmetic", the two concepts combined to produce The Jester's Cat for the evening's entertainment.

With Sunryze holding a very good facsimile of a Jester's cat on her lap for inspiration, our lively guests delighted us from A to U with their observations that The Jester's Cat is:

Amusing, Bully, Cute, Demented, eccentric, funny, (keen) green,
hellish, Intelligent, joker, knowledgeable, lucky, mad,
Naughty but Nice, obeys (what the naughty jester tells cat to do),
Prrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrfect, quirky, rabid, so silly, taunting tiny elves, ugly (today because he's having a bad fur day) ... and he was last seen vanishing with x-pensive yellow zinnias.
