On Tuesday, Sister Erato and heralded the dawn of the new year with two of our favourite games: Alphabet Theatre and AcroSpewsia.

The scenario for Alphabet Theatre was inspired by JsBabe's humungous pet snake. It was the task our guests to try to charm the reticent reptile into coming home with them, by making persuasive suggestions from A to Z - a formidable task to be sure, given the sheer size of the creature.

Imagine our astonishment, then, when the snake was charmed as early as round four, with the the letter "D", as follows:

Des: Do u want to shed your skin for me big boy ? <grin>

And lo, the snake was charmed! When the large round of applause for both charmer and charmee subsided, we opted for a round of AcroSpewsia, using words inspired by the current Muse gift, Calliope's Sweet Dreams pillow.

In this version of AcroMusia, instead of contributing one word per letter down the line, each guest makes an entire phrase from the given word, which he or she can shout out whenever ready. We were all entertained with the clever phrases that follow.
