St. Patrick's Day Fun

March 11, 2008

There was a wee bit of elfin magic in the air on Parlour day, as Muses Thalia and Erato donned some lovely "keen" green hats and accessories to celebrate the mood.

With a twinkle in her eye, Muse Erato took her book of Irish Tales from the bookshelf, and carefully put it in her pocket and headed out the Muse gates with her Sister Thalia to greet the Parlour players.

Muse Erato thought it would be a good idea to read the story of the life and times of St Patrick to the Parlour guests. The guests enjoyed the story very much and most had not realized that St Patrick had led a most adventurous life!

After the story, the Sisters played a game of Word Scramble, using Irish themed words:

GLDO (gold)
EDARPA (parade)
NRIEDLA (Ireland)
PKSMRCHA (shamrock)
PCULNEERHA (leprechaun)
WRIONAB (rainbow)
KSEANS (snakes)
ERNEG (green)

By faith and begorrah, the Parlour players, clever as always were very quick to unscramble the words!

To conclude a most wonderful hour, the Muses handed out their Sister Poli's golden pillows so that they all may have golden dreams in search of that elusive pot o' gold at the end of the rainbow!

Please join Muses Thalia and Erato on Tuesdays in the Morpheus Rose Garden East at 4pm WA for many fun games and surprises.
