Urania and I were feeling so springy as we scampered to host our Parlour
Games. Per usual I recited a wee limerick:
There once
was a Mage whose name was Ellyllon
Whose room was as messy as a pig pen
It got so cluttered
He shook and muttered...
Oh, but everything blends,
AMEN!
hehehehe!
Muse Urania’s
newly invented game of Dreamspeak Tales was such a hit last time that
we decided to try it again - but this time with a “Muse Urania twist”:
Try to make a story not only using the image on the Dreamspeak card
but also with a Spring like theme. This is what our clever and creative
players composed. Note: we thought the sphere cards looked like eggs!
Once upon
a time, two tiny chickens hatched out of eggs,
they were brothers. They were called Nigel and Terence.
Nigel & Terence were out playing one day and OMG they
saw an Owl and a naughty pussy cat who
used to scare the children’s budgie. So Nigel and
Terence ran up to the ginger pussy cat and asked
for his help. The sight of the owl and the cat scared
the chickens and budgie so that their hearts beat
faster and faster and they called on the farm dog to help.
Well the
dog was no help; he broke into Old Mac's
Whiskey and was upsidedown in the yard, trying
to catch Erato's robe tails. The dog was so busy
chasing the Muse that he didn't see where he was
going and ran into a thicket of ferns. So...
the two little chicks went into the (computer) internet as fast
as their little legs would go to search Google on how
to get rid of owls.
The Owls
came upon Google:
"To get rid of Owls one needs a suitable conveyance,
possibly purple! Terrence said to Nigel,
"OK I think I have it!" Terence and Nigel wove
the ferns into a wonderful flying chest! And they
climbed onto the chest and flew high above
the owls and the pussycats and away to a
place where chicks are safe!
THE END
Spring is in the air and
the fern trees and
flowers are turning green and singing with joy.
Until the puppy started going around peeing
on everything. The puppy, who was called Florence,
had to put all the rugs in the house out to dry in the
sunshine while she was doing that, she saw a
really big bird flying overhead. They stayed there
til the moon came out but by then it was getting
so dark when the dog and its owner went out
to get the mats in. Except for a reflection of the
moon in a puddle... two globes: one in the sky
and one in the puddle.
The cat
looked into the puddle and then looked
at the dog and whispered... "Oh what light through
yonder window fade." "It is the moon!" the dog
replied, "And when it is full I shall howl at it!!"
One would need to howl as the mat is not dry yet!
Could it be fate?
