Thursday, we began the evening with this amusing limerick, penned
by Sister Thalia:
There is a
sweet Muse named Urania
Who stares at the stars, can you blame her?
Late one night, mother came in
And said with a grin:
Your telescope squeaks like snores and I DO blame ya!
I seem to
remember on that occasion Mother suggested that since I was still
wide awake, I might as well clean the pond regardless of the hour<G>.

Next we introduced the game, Treble Clef (affectionately known as
“Trouble” Clef) which is played as follows. One player sings a line
from a song. The following player sings a line from a different song
that contains the last word in the line sung by the previous player,
and so on, to form a chain of song lines. When a player is stumped,
they begin the next round with a line from any song they choose. On
this night however, not a single player found herself stumped, with
the result that 40 consecutive lines were sung without a break in
the chain! Bravo!
