Greetings all! We kicked off Tuesday's Parlour Games with a recitation of one of my favourite springtime poems by William Wordsworth: I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud I wandered lonely as a cloud Continuous as the stars that shine The waves beside them danced; but they For oft, when on my couch I lie Inspired by that bit of springtime bliss, we set about creating phrases from words found the poem, as follows: CLOUD - Children Love Oranges Under Daylight GOLDEN - Gerbils Only Lack Dentures Every November DANCING - Darling Angel Needs Cupid's Insight Nowadays Generously DAFFODILS - Dangerous Always Finding Frogs Once Daily In Leftover Sandwiches And on that merry note, with visions of tea and sandwiches (hopefully minus the frogs) dancing in our heads we found homes for Melpy's quite Daffodil-coloured Teacup fuzzie and bid our guests a fond farewell. Do join us every Tuesday at 4 p.m. WAT in the Morpheus Rose Garden East for fun, games and general merriment in the Parlour! |
