Five and Dime

April 19, 2010

Muses Thalia and Erato were delighted to see many guests waiting for them in the garden for Parlour Games.

As guests continued to arrive, Muse Thalia shared a stanza of April poetry from Robert Frost's Two Tramps in Mudtime poem:

The sun was warm but the wind was chill.
You know how it is with an April day
When the sun is out and the wind is still,
You're one month on in the middle of May.
But if you so much as dare to speak,
A cloud comes over the sunlit arch,
A wind comes off a frozen peak,
And you're two months back in the middle of March

The Sisters decided it would be a good day to play an oldie and popular game - Five and dime. The guests were nost creative in thinking up categories:

Types of Spring Flowers : daffodils, tulips. blue bells, azalias, hydrangiea
