Urania and I had so much fun, playing in the Parlour with everyone!  This week we played Rhyming games and our players were most clever!  Uri started us up with the warm up word:  “Pink” in honor of our lovely scarves this week. We had many rhyming words including, sink, mink, think, and even kerplink!

In our game, Five and Rhyme, DustyBrat asked me to rhyme 5 words to "skunk" in less than 10 seconds. Oh speaking of skunks - I had a limerick about that:

Imagine a skunk who proposes,

To his true love, surrounded by roses...

It may turn out just fine,

When she falls for his line,

But I wonder if flowers have noses?

 (hehehe!!)

Shrunk, Thunk (?), Monk, Dunk and Drunk!

I asked Stitcher to rhyme "Green" to which she quickly said, "Mean, Bean, Teen, Seen and Clean!"

Stitcher asked Bunny Wabbit to rhyme her first name, "Honey, Money, Runny, Sunny and Funny" said Bunny.

Bunny had MB rhyme "Head" and MB did well with "Read, Said, Lead, Fed and Red."

MB tried to stump DustyRose with "Blue" but Dusty said "Too, Moo, Sue, Few and Whew" in record time!

DustyRose gave the word to "Black" to Ms. Tracy.  "Sack, Smack, Lack, Back and Hack" said Ms. Tracy proudly. She should beam too as this was her very first game of Five and Rhyme - well done!!

Ms. Tracy said "Phone" for Lady Devra.  "Tone, Xylophone, Bone, Moan and Loan!"  Excellent!

Lady Devra tried to trick geddy lee with "Book".  geddy was not to be stumped and easily recited, "look, hook, cook, crook, and shanook!"

Muse Urania said she wouldn't mind giving it a try as long as the word is not "Orange"!   (No perfect rhyme to "Orange" we tried no avail!)  geddy gave Urania the word "Smoke" and my sister almost got stuck but came through successfully, "Poke, Broke, Rope, Dope and Soak!"

Next we played "Rhyme Time".  For this one we gave a definition that has a two word rhyming answer.  Here are some highlights:

The lid on a container of fire starters = Match Hatch

Ornery colour = Mean Green

Heated sauce pan = Hot Pot

Hairpiece for a fruit that grows on palm trees = Fig Wig

Mr. Rogers - Sweater Weather? but geddy insisted the correct answer is = Dead Fred (poor fellow!!)

A bag worn in the rain = Mac Sack

A sticky, yellow rabbit = Honey Bunny

Soda Peak = Pop Top

After a big round of applause for a well played game, Muse scarves were given out to our well deserving players!

Join me and Muse Urania every Thursday at 4:00 WAT in Muse Rose Garden East for Parlour Games!
