Life's Little Wonders

June 2, 2009

Muses Thalia and Erato were in a very philosophical mood at Parlour and decided to ponder some of Life's mysteries. They then invited the Parlour guests to think up some as well as come up with any probable answers.

Innocent Waif gifted Muse Thalia with a lovely keen green thinking cap to help out.

Some of the wonders everyone pondered were:

If you make a biscuit with salt water does that make it a seabiscuit? (yes of course)

Why is it that you park your car in a driveway, and drive your car on a Parkway? (because they were all invented by men and they are weird)

If Thalia has 10 doughtnuts and Erato has 5 doughnuts and momma muse made them give back all but 3 what colour are Ws's underpants? (only JsBabe knew the answer for this one, and we shall keep it a mystery to our readers)

Why do Frosted Flakes have frosting, but pitted prunes DON'T have pits...

Why do they call roads freeways, but mostly you are parked on it?

Why does the 7-11 have locks on the doors if theyre open 24 hours ?

When you choke a Smurf, what color does it turn? (pink or purple)

Why is the third hand on a watch called the second hand?

And why is a partially open door called a jar?

Why do you need a driver's license to buy liquor when you can't drink and drive?

If work is so terrific .. why do they have to pay you to do it?

If the #2 pencil is the most popular, why is it still #2? (because it tries harder to print)

When sign makers go on strike, is anything written on their signs? (perhaps only blank verse or blankety blank words)

If a tree falls in there forest and nobody is around does it still make noise? (only the bears know, and a forest is never empty)

How can you tell when your invisible ink pen is out of ink?

How can you tell when your bagpipes are out of tune ? (when the cats stop howling)

If a lawyer and an IRS agent were drowning, and you could only save one, would you go to lunch or read the paper? (read the Weekly Prophet over lunch, of course!)

Pasta must be a brain food as we are told we think with our noodles

With that, Muse Thalia came up a Muse version of Kymer Rhymer to test all our noodles!

Canine pasta = poodle noodle
Fake pasta = phoney macaroni

Everyones' noodles were all worn out from so much thinking and trying to fathom some of Life's little wonders.

Muses Thalia and Erato handed out a choice of Bath Salts so everyone could go relax in a hot tub, or use the salts to make seabiscuits!

Be sure to join Muses Thalia and Erato every Tuesday at 4:00pm WA for an hour of fun games and giggles at Parlour Games.
