While Clio and Melpy were finishing their clues for the upcoming Muse Quest and some chores Mother gave them, Me (Muse Thalia) Muses Erato and Calliope were happy to guide the Picnic Puzzle players into a fun game of “Fill the Picnic Basket” in A to Z style of course!

For our first round we asked our lively players to fill our baskets appropriate for a picnic with the Muses and their Mother. Here are fun and delicious items they came up with:

Apple cider, Blueberry muffins, Creamed Calliope, Donut holes, Eggplant fritters, Fresh Apples (Green of course!) Graham crackers for S’Mores, Horseradish, Ice for our drinks, Jungleberry Jubejubes! (A donation from Mage Rainbow), Kymerian shroon brandy, Lemon cookies, Marshmallow Marmalade for our S’Mores, Napkins for our sticky fingers, Orange cream shake, Paper Plates and Plastic utensils (Calli would like them to be purple), Queen cakes and fresh whipped cream with rainbow sprinkles, Raisins, Salad and dressing, Tater Tots, Uni for the sushi lovers, Velvet blankets for all of us to sit upon (green, pink and purple!) Riff delighted us with, Willie Wonka’s Waffles Which While Warm, Wobble Wonderfully (wif maple syrup and chocolate ‘n chili ice creams). At the top of the basket were Xxx-tra yummy zucchini bread, a Yellow Yo-Yo to keep Melpy busy and finally from my dear sister Erato, Zillions of bird seeds for my birds (who live happily in my hat.) It will be a most interesting picnic for my sisters and Momma - thank you all very much!

Next, we filled up a picnic basket for the Mages:

Aardvark tails, Banana skins on peanut bread, Crispy Chocolate Cookies, Dunkin Donuts, Elestial’s Egg Creams (yummy!) Fresh hot pizza, Green Gopher Guts (my personal favourite, ewww!!) Ham for sandwiches, Juicy peaches, Kiwi muffins, Lizzard Lollipops, Momma Muse’s Marvelous Marmalade - special from Rosie, Nice minced mouse pie and Rosie said, “Humans eat funny food!”. We topped off the basket with more Mage delights: Octopus Oreos, Pickled Pizza, Quivering Quail tails, and Calli wondered, “Do they stop quivering when you cook them?” Erato replied, “Let’s Hope so!!” Rich Raspberry Rum cake, (Yummy!) Sock Soop from the Jesters, Tomato, bacon and mayo sandwiches, Urchin seafood salad, Vienna sausages, Watermelon Wedges soaked in beer overnight, X-ported sardines in mustard, Yesterday’s leftovers and finally, and the most important item - donated by woodsy: Zippered barf bags!!

After a big round of applause we gave out our Muse baskets and were ever so grateful for such wonderful and clever players.
