Dreams

I am so excited to be hosting Poetry Corner now with my dear sister Urania! Unfortunately she had a bit of a tummy bug and was tucked in bed at home today. Poli was being so sweet and giving her mint tea and soup.

I got to the Theatre and no one was there! At first I wondered if I had my days mixed up but then DD of Narnia joined me. Apparently it was a sleepy day for everyone. Thankfully some more friends joined us and we decided that dreams would be the perfect topic for our poems.

Sunryze and Timo shared their favorite Dream poems. Then some original poems were shared.

Dream Snowflakes

Dreams are wishes the heart makes
Promises unique as each snowflake
Dreams comfort us on cloudy days
And wake us up to sing God's praise
With faith your own dreams find
And keep them safe within your mind.

In the land of dreams we could never be
more than we speak more than we see.
Our love is great in this virtual world,
lost in our dreams our emotions swirl.
Lost in our own needs filled by fantasies,
wrapped in the guises we are given to see.
Can real love be possible in such a place and time?
Is it true, is it real or just a nursery rhyme?
In the land of dreams our fancies take flight,
our heartfelt longings come into the light.
Our inner needs we find here somehow,
filling empty parts of ourselves we somehow disavowed...
