My Favorite Season

January 26, 2010

Today we had a lovely time discussing our favorite seasons, the Royal Wedding, and The Jungle festival. There were many wonderful poems, as well as a group poem that we composed together.

The Seasons of Life
by beans

To everything there is a Season
A time to live, a time to die
a time to sow, a time to reap,
a time for joy, a time for tears
And every time is a time to be
whatever the Lord proclaims for me.

An Older Poem For My Everyday
by luvsparks

everyday i awake and what a blessing i do see...
i see you my Dreamscape angels...
looking back at me...
nothing is so wonderful...
as too see your faces here....
there is nothing so magnificent...
as feeling you so near...
of all the many blessings....
i count each and every day...
just being able to see you all my friends...
is my blessing and honor in every way....

The Wonderful Fall

by luvsparks

i really really like the wonderful fall....
with turning leaves....
on trees so tall....
i love the feel of the soft cool winds....
that make both bushes and plants all bend...
i love the smell, of that last of the camper's campsite smoke...
seeing them sitting....with marshmallows on sticks they do poke...
fall is a sign that soon the land will turn white...
with a beautiful snow...on a lovely dark night....
so come with me friends and enjoy it all...
this wonderful time...that we all know as FALL

Spring Rain

by Muse Erato

Raindrops falling against my window pane
Beating hard
Shall I ever see the sun again?
The clouds are gray and no blue sky
The rain falls hard
And waters our flowers that once were dry
The blossoms' colours turn very bright
In the gloomy glow
And one can see them dancing in delight!
As the spring rain continues to fall
I realize that
It is just Mother Nature's call
To bring to life and refresh our world anew
Without the rain
There would be no flowers and we'd all be blue!

Springtime

by Wasser B. Maus

Now it is Springtime, now it is not-
Warm balmy breezes and blossoms galore-
But sudden inches of wet cold snow...one cannot ignore-
Back and forth and forth to back-
Will Spring be able to break out of it's sack?
I sure hope so...ooooo yes please please-
We NEED our flowers and bumble bees!

Group Poem

Thoughts like seasons round me swirl within my mind passing on each hope and thrill that I know the seasons will change as they will,
and each of them will give me a thrill
Glorious colours paint the sky...aurora borealis , and sunset skies
On a clear day you can look as far as you want
Rain or snow I don't mind as in summer I had my sunshine fill
even when it's raining your heart can soar on dreams of spring high above the clouds
the wetness makes us appreciate the coming season
we know soon there will be bunches of flowers
For soon Spring will come and with it we will build Happiness bowers

Our topic for next week shall be love for friends and family in honor of Valentine's Day. Please be sure to join us this coming Tuesday at 11:00amwat in Theatre View for Poetry Corner.
