What a lovely day for poetry corner! Uri and I had a very large group of friends today. We giggled and talked and wished Dusty get well thoughts. We decided to share poems or stories about our favorite stuffies.

I started us off with one about my sweet little lamb.

Clio had a little lamb
whose fleece was blue as sky
and everywhere that Clio went
the lamb was sure to fly
It followed her to retreat one day
which was against the rules
It made her sisters giggle and play
to see a lamb so blue.
And so Momma turned it out,
but still it lingered near,
And waited patiently about
till Clio did appear.
Why does the lamb love Clio so?
Her amazed sisters cried.
Why... Clio loves the lamb you know.
Momma did reply.

Imp Bumpsy then shared a very special story for us.

When I was a lil gurl I lived with my nana in ireland
and my real mummy sent me a teddy when I was bout 4 years old
he was almost as big as me
I loved him so much
dressed him in my clothes
then when i was 15 I left ireland
leaving my beloved teddy behind
I moved on to have children myself and then became a grandma
one day i was showing my sister a picture of me with my teddy
(she didn't live with me in ireland)
and she said
I believe I have that teddy in my attic
I said noooooo don't believe that
then a few days later she knocked on my dorr with my beloved teddy in her arms
someone had given to her a long time ago when she visited ireland and she din know it was mine
he is now fast asleep in my spare room LOL
THE END

Sunryze shared some thoughts about her favorite friend.

my monkey is a special friend
a gift from a little bug
whenever i am down and out i give her alittle tug
she reminds me of the friends ive met
of smiles come and gone,,
of laughter ,hunts and listening to a really silly song..
shes always there to cheer me up i see her everyday ,, she makes me smile and think of friends when they are away...her bounces say I love you , your not alone today......<bow><grin>

Lady Cottington told us about a friend of hers from the place called Real World

mine is a rw stuffie
when I was little
my grandparents started buying me a "rudolph" stuffie
the first year they did it
I saw the stuffie with a big red nose and yet I said
"A MOOSE!!!!"
well everyone found this funny and so the next year they got me another "rudolph"
and every year after and every year I would say A MOOSE!!!!
so...
one year under the tree was an actual stuffie moose
not a reindeer but a moose
needless to say I loved that peices and have had and still do several other moose friends since then
and now I collect moose

luvsparks then blessed us with a poem she wrote

MY FAVORITE STUFFIES
i have so many big and little stuffies....some are hard....and some, quite fluffy....some are red....some are blue....but to them all...i am quite true...they make me smile...and comfort me....whether i'm happy....or if i skin my knee...no matter how things go....they are always there... so sweet and cuddly....so full of care...i have no favorite....because all are mine.....for each to me....is one of a kind....<grin><jump>

Dusty shared a story about her stuffies

i love my stuffies have always had bunches
hubby had to negotiate the removal of all but one from the master bed
and then i became unable to work and poor SANS beanie babies
an then i was in a wheel chair
but discvered NH and DS
so now i have pixil stuffies on my lappy
and im as nuts as every over tedys an bunnies

GINRO then graced us with an original poem he wrote

Me & My Buddy-
The Doggie was my buddy
With his tail for me to carry
We went out to venture,
for troubles that awaited
Off with tail, to our courageous adventure
Pop the air out of flator bro carried, so there goes bro's whale deflated
Two elder bro had cried out
So we hope to escape in cloud
Mom came out and yelled GINRO!
Oh shoot, she already found out!
Doggie's tail drooped down so low
Idea popped in, tho I had my doubt
It was the mission impossible, a desparate try of the all out!
Mom, he did it, pointing Doggie
I think he forgave me for that and several other times I blamed him for.
Cuz He is still here with me
On top of my bookshelf, looking back of old time with no bore
We had good old time didn't we, Doggie?
He is probably nodding but not forgetting to say, don't u dear blame me!

After our wonderful time was over we decided that our favorite pizza poems would be a great topic for next week! Please join my sister and I for fun in the park.
