Poetry in April

April 6, 2010

Today we shared poetry that pleased us. Apparently we were all affected by the lovely spring weather as that quickly showed itself to be our main theme. It was a lovely hour of blossoms and faerie's wings. Several poems by various authors were shared as well as these original poems.

Spring Haiku
by DUSTY

Spring is here again
Warm breezes tease the buds open
My heart soars above.

Believe
by suni

A fae flew in my window
when I left it open wide
she landed on my finger
and invited me for a ride
she took me to a land
where gnomes & goblins played
where knights fought with dragons
i wish i could have stayed
we took a ride on a butterfly
drank nectar from a flower
we were playing tag with pixies
when I noticed the hour
in a blink i was back in my room
i turned to watch her leave
she smiled & said I will return
because... You Believe

Spring
by Glory/Stella

It's Spring! It's Spring! Spring is finally here!
Tress are budding, kittens and puppies mewing,
Snow is melting and flowers blooming!
Oh, I do think this is the best time of year,
Spring is here!

Group Poem
(4/6/2010)

Hooray, hooray, the first of May,
all the faeries dance and sway,
Don't forget they will leave the end of may
But they shall not go far away...
for in your imagination and heart they will stay!

Please do join us this coming Tuesday at 11:00 am wat when our topic shall be Spring Weather. Rainbows was suggested as were sunny fun and rain and thunder storms. All can be lumped together in the topic of weather. Sister Clio and I do hope to see you at Theatre View.
