Eggscellent Eggs

April 4, 2006

We had an eggscellent session for poetry corner this morning. Many arrived to share poetry and also to listen and enjoy the camaraderie. Those who attended were Doxie, Dolphy, Journalist, Capskid Spaulding, DustyBrat of Narnia, lil luvy, Wasser B.Maus, Tuppence, Trelaina, Jewelie, Dipper, Lady Dusty Rose of Narnia, Muse Melpomene and myself.

Jewelie provided a lovely recitation of several poems she had found about eggs.

Lil Luvy had a poem for us, and told us that it was her Birthday. We were all happy to wish her much joy.

Easter Bunny
by lil luvy

comes a creature cute and funny
and we all call him the Easter Bunny
he hips and hops all around
and children's love for him abound

he carries special eggs you see
made of special chocolate for you and for me
some are caramel and marshmallow too
and some are just filled with wonderful goooo..

I know all children love him
with eyes as blue as a kite
and a black button nose
and fluffy tail cottonball white

yes, this little creature
is truly magic to see
the cute and the fuzzy creature
we all call the Easter Bunny

Eggs
by Muse Urania

Eggs, it's how we all began
whether mammal, or reptilian,
even plants have a nucleus
containing instructions for growth success.
*
Fat or tall, slim or squat,
your "egg" direct's what's what.
Color of eyes, color of skin...
inside, is the information.
*
"A seed, a seed, must fall to the ground..."
yes, even the redemption plan of man
Had a seed, at it's heart
Our LORD and Savior, who rose again.

A muse in Spring
Is a most funny thing
Pomes she recites....
The listeners excites....
nice prizes to us giving.

Dipper shared a cute poem from a place he called "the internet", but did not say which part of the beach he found it on.

Roses are red
Spread near and far.
Born of an Egg!
From a Distant Star!

Mices are heroic....
that's what I think,
but still the most strange 'bout them....
some times they are pink.

By mutual agreement Spring Flowers was chosen as the topic for next weeks Poetry Corner. Please be sure to join us next Tuesday at 11pmwat in Theatre View.
