April Showers

Tiny, pink petals float
softly, twirling through the air,
raining on my hair.

Cherry blossoms snow,
April showers are flowers,
from the tree bowers.

New life sprouting,
'neath my tree,
Oh, how I do wonder,
what can it be?

A Marigold or pansy?,
longing to be?
A sun flower,
a robin dropped seed?

Products of sunshine,
they soon shall arise...
Watered by showers....
April doth provide.

Waters splashing wet
Bees lifting aromatic air.

Nurturing the earth.
Signalling spring is on the way
The season of rebirth.
Lambs and birds are all about
There's blossoms on the tree

April showers bring May flowers
Pretty flowers all in a row
Flowers of all colors and fragrances
Ferns and blossoms to make a bow
in the scarf about her neck
sweet smelling scents awaken the senses.

Lovely lilacs glisten in the sun
I want to smell every one
Bumblebees bathe in their petal beds sweet
All the sights and smells of spring fill me with joy!
wonderful are the delicate petals glimmering with the sparkles of rain
and it happens in all countries, even Spain.

Holland has tulips,
but Roses are the best
Dandelions are wonderful
floating on currants of blossom souls
carrying wishes away with the wind
they float away after washing the Bees feet
carrying wishes away.....
and dreams flow sweetly as smells wafer through the air
Bringing a calm feeling to the landscape.

See the yellow buttercups spring up everywhere
I see one now sprouted up
Dancing amid the sunbeams
Their warmth makes me smile.
Tiny butterflies flitting about on the beams
See them twinkle, so cute like a mouse running fast
basking in the sun
searching out which fragrant flower to land on.

Lovely golden hues
to feed on the nectar so sweet
Raindrops gather in the pools on the petals
providing nectar for passing humming birds
How I wish it could be spring forever but its gone so fast!
