There Be Dragons...

May 5, 2009

Dragons were the topic of this weeks Poetry Corner. Although most felt
Dragons are nobel creatures, it was conceded that some can be quite mean.  We all agreed that should we meet one, we desire it be of gentle nature.

Dragons are Magic...<wise nod>

Ode to a Dragon
by Muse Urania

Splendid Dragon gliding on the wind...
with outstreched wings...
and tallon gleam...
Guarding your domain.

What do you see from such a hight?
How does your mighty heart race...
to ride the currents...
and pump great wings...

And does that heart harbor good or evil?
Are you reptillian devil or angel..
Would you shelder or destroy...
this humble human creature?

Are you only fantasy, a shadow of reality,
a might have been...
or could be, Perchance...
you shall touchdown in front of me?

As I behold you dive and zoom...
through clouds and rainbows ...
beyond the sun at noon...
My heart craves to soar astride your wings.

Group Poem (May/2009)

The Dragons of Dreamscape...

Dragons live close by in the surronding mountains,
They live in caves and mountain tops...
You can hear their dragon song clear and beautiful at night,
and the wind blow under their wings as they fly high in the sky.

Sounds of wings and songs floating back to earth, lifting man's heart back to heaven
Stirring dreams and yearnings of flying so free...
Far beyond the clouds and sun and moon.
They call "Come follow me, fly high, live wild and free"...
and the dragons agree!

Our topic next week shall be "Mothers", in honor of Mother's Day. Please join us this coming Tuesday at 11:00am wat in Theatre View for Poetry Corner.
