| Roll out those lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer! On Tuesday, the Poetry Corner guests brought their enthusiasm, quills, barbeques (and even hotdogs) to celebrate the imminent arrival of Summer with Muses Urania and Calliope.
Several of our guests treated us to the poems they composed for the occasion, as follows:
We were also entertained by recitations of summer-themed works by William Blake (To Summer), Robert Louis Stevenson (Bed in Summer) and Adrian Road-Heddick (The Song of Invisible Birds). We concluded the hour in Poetry Corner tradition by composing our very group poem, with this as the delightful result:
