Spring Cleaning

June 2, 2009

Dust bunnies, cobwebs, and yard sales were topics of discussion in today's Poetry Corner. All were in agreement that one person's junk can be another person's treasure. Giggles were shared concerning yard sale experiences. How we all "find" hidden treasures, and have second thoughts(and retrieve things we had previously placed in the "to be sold or donated box". Several well polished poems were shared.

Spring Cleaning
by Muse Urania

Cobwebs and dust bunnies beware!
scurry and hide in your lair...
I shall prevail!

By my broom and my mop...
you shall soon be caught...
and disappear!

I am on a rampage of sorts...
to clean closets and courts...
spotless!

With cloth and sanitizer in hand...
I crouch, kneel and make a stand...
to sterilize!

Dauntless, I carry on...
the desire to shine is strong...
Resplendent!

This coming Tuesday there shall be "the Donald Duck Event" whereas the next time we gather for Poetry Corner shall be June 16th. The topic shall be Father's Day, at the usual time and place( 11:00amwat in Theatre View)! Do be sure to join us then!
