Off to the Olympic Village

Muse News

Muses Erato and Thalia had heard that Euterpe and Terpsichore were planning an outing to the Kymer Olympic Village at Muse Potpourri and decided to come along.  They were met by Sirona, Luv, Myke and Dusty at Talker's Corner and the group soon headed out to explore.

The first stop was the Snowboard Shop.  Thalia and Erato had heard that it was much like surfing and convinced the shopkeeper to let them have boards to try out.  While they were there they also picked up boards for Urania and Calliope.  It was decided among the group that Mother might consider snowboarding in their robes a bit dangerous, so they decided to wait for another day to try them out.

After stopping so that Terpsichore and Thalia could pick up some appropriate winter wear the group wandered over to the Olympic Scoreboard.  Thalia was a bit concerned that the green team of Curling had the lowest score but everyone assured her that the lowest scoring team must have been the winning one.  This made her feel much better.  As they looked up the hill and saw the chairs gliding up the mountain on the cable they all wished that they could take a ride.  What a wonderful view there must be from up there!

The next stop was to see the figure skating.  Terpsichore was so impressed by the skater on the ice she refused to turn back around for the painting.  Erato thought that perhaps ice skating was the sport for her as she considered how gracefully her robes would flare out while twirling.

By this time Myke was beginning to feel the effects of the cold weather as he did not even have a scare to wear.  The group hurried back to the warmth of the Muse Garden to receive their gifts and the warm thanks of each of the Muses.

Please join the Muses next week for Muse Potpourri at 9am WAT on Wednesday in Talker's Corner.  One never knows where they will end up going.
