Muses Euterpe and Terpsichore were hoping that their friends had all thawed out from last week's freezing weather and were up for a fast paced game. As it turns out they were still all a bit frozen so the Muses went for a slower game that would remind them of warm weather to come. They played a simple rhyming game where one person thought of a word and the next had to think of a rhyming word. The hope was that the two words together would fit with the theme of the round. In the first round which was intended to get people to think of ways to warm up in the cold, cold weather some of the couplets warmed everyone right up. These were: Comforter / Temperature; House / Woolen Blouse; and Icicle / Warming Cycle. Moving from Winter to Summer without a hitch the couplets kept one and all on the beach. Swells / Shells; Sand / How Grand; Waves / Raves about being a surfer's enclave. As the hour closed the group was thinking about the last picnic of the year being held in early Autumn. Cooler / Soon Schooler; Chicken Fried / Apples Dried; Shorts / Sports Please join the Muses next week for Muse Potpourri at 9am WAT on Wednesday in Talker's Corner. |
