When Kymer was but a dream of a city, and the townsfolk were still envisioning the landscape, four dragons flew over Phantasus. They watched the people gathering and building and wanted to help them along. The people were not sure what to make of friendly dragons so they gathered up some berries and made a friendly visit to the dragons. They offered the dragons the berries and the dragons were grateful to them so they used their enormous tails to help knock down trees. Their huge bodies and tremendous power still made people leery so the suggested the dragons not help build wooden homes.

So the dragons flew off to a huge mountain made of stone and began to cut into it. They quarried the stone and cut it for sidewalks and walls and Morpheus whispered "Yes, let the dragons build the square and the streets." And so the dragons created beautiful paved stone streets and the people liked what they saw and were happy.

They wanted to find a way to thank the dragons so they called a town meeting to discuss it. "Why don't we make stone seating for the dragons to rest their tired wings in." one citizen suggested. The stone masons agreed and started to work but soon it was time for the dragons to return to their home in the high mountains.

The people of Kymer wanted to know what kind of home they lived in so they could replicate it here and entice them to stay. So they worked hard on a special fountain in the middle of the town square and the fountain was a reproduction of the spring near the dragons cave. The best sculptors in Kymer were commissioned to decorate it. But what they didn't know is that they were using enchanted stone and Morpheus planned it all so the town would have a sacred dragon fountain always to remember the elements and their dragon friends.
