Hang-A-Muse, Atlantis Style

Muse Terpsichore was still in fine fettle from her visit to Atlantis and had a list of words she gathered there.  Muse Euterpe was not too sure about playing Hang-A-Muse again because of the tragedy last week.  But Dusty, DD of Narnia, Lady Songbird SK Elf and Sadee felt confident that they could avoid any hangings.

Terpsi put herself on the scaffold as she began with a six letter word.  In the very first turn they filled in an E making _ _ e _ _ _.  Unfortunately, Terpsi soon lost her head and her torso then a T appeared. _ _ e _ t _.  Once again Terpsi lost some body parts, an arm and two legs.  With only one appendage to go the letter C was found making C _ e _ t _.  It was not long before it was discovered the word was Cleito and Terpsi was saved.  Phew!

She felt adventurous so Terpsi gave another clue of a six letter word.  On the very first turn two K's were found.  K _ _ k _ _.  Without losing a single body part the word Kraken was guessed.

Terpsi was feeling fine and dandy so she decided a more difficult word was in order.  She chose an eight letter word that was part of the Atlantean scenery.  He lost her head in short order quickly followed by her torso and her left arm.  Euterpe rushed to hold her up as she was almost fainting from fear that not even one letter would be guessed.  Fortunately an E and N were discovered making _ _ _ e _ _ _ n.  Terpsi's right arm was next to go before an I was found _ _ _ ei _ _ n.  Sadee saved the day when she guessed that the word was Poseidon.

The hour came to an end with Euterpe carrying Terpsi back to their quarters after thanking everyone who played with a gift of Melpomene's Bath Oil.
