The Muses entered the Muse Pond local and waited patiently for their guests. Sadee was the first to arrive. Le Mew wandered in next. She had been missing Goldy terribly, Le Mew had been meowing outside the wall waiting for him to come out. Apparently, there had been no regular game of Minister's Cat Thursday as there had been an event that day. Dusty and DD of Narnia came in and Cori joined us as well. Jester scar kindly led a new player to the game. The Muses were happy to welcome MJ to their game and thanked Jester scar for his guide skills. Muse Euterpe enjoyed last week's game of Hang-A-Muse so much she decided to host a game herself, grinning as she ascended the scaffold, with every confidence that her players wouldn't let her down. She had chosen the theme of Avatar names and explained how the game was played. She bravely began with a name of two words and 12 letters. Muse Terpsichore got out her book to take notes and draw funny pictures of Euterpe teetering on the scaffold. Euterpe was a bit worried she might need a stretcher rather than a sketcher. DD of Narnia
took the first turn, and asked for an E. Indeed there was an E. Muse Euterpe, feeling rejuvenated, announced the next name, another two word with 12 letters. DD of Narnia started us off with a great choice of the letter E, of which there was 4: _ _ _ _ _EE _ _ _EE. Cori guessed a letter O next and up went her head. Le Mew chose letter A and there were two of those: _ _ A_ _EE _A_EE. Sadee chose D, Dusty chose S and with that Muse Euterpe was calling for a stretcher. MJ was excited, because she had seen her out earlier. She was confident she knew the name and guessed; CLANCEE BABEE. Muse Euterpe expected the last round to be easy for her players with a 5 letter word, but it didn't turn out as she had hoped. The players had guessed: E and B with no luck, till Le Mew chose A and there were two: _A_ _A. Sadee chose I, Dusty chose N and MJ chose M. Muse Euterpe was distraught with all but one body part left. It's was up to DD of Narnia. Muse Terpsichore thought a hint was needed desperately. Euterpe agreed and told the player that the word was made up of only 3 letters and that another letter is used twice. The players had discussed and ruled out Daria and Sadee. DD of Narnia took a chance and guessed the letter R. Muse Euterpe was terribly upset as she lost her last body part. Muse Terpsichore wondered out loud, "Does that mean I have to do your chores"? The players continued to guess names till they concluded the name was SASHA. Everyone enjoyed an hour of fun and took home with them one of Polyhymnia's Bath Oils. Muse Euterpe and Terpsichore look forward to seeing their guests next Wednesday at noon by the Muse Pond. |
