Cinco de Mayo

Muse Terpsichore was feeling hot and spicy and ready for adventure. So she put on her red hot chili pepper hat, grabbed Muse Euterpe and headed out to the Muse Pond. She had a field trip in mind!

Just as soon as Dest!ny and Sadee arrived Terpsichore whisked the group away to the Cinco de Mayo locales for some Potpourri fun. Along the way lil me joined the group with great excitement. Terpsichore was sure-footed as she led the group through town and behind Regency Hall to the Cinco de Mayo area.

The group was greeted by a small dog named Chihuahua and this gave Terpsichore an idea. She pulled out her die and thought of game of What's in a Word was in order. She chose the word Chihuahua and Dest!ny rolled the die. She rolled a 4 and everyone thought surely there are 4 words in Chihuahua. It was discovered while the whole group started thinking of words, that it was not as easy as it looked. For a long word there just didn't seem to be enough letters. The group got together and found the words: Haha, Hi, Chia, Huh, Hic, and Hah! Oh my, Terpsi was much more evil than she thought.

They traveled on and found a food stand and everyone had a quick snack while Terpsi thought of the next word. She chose Chili Peppers and let the group just call out words as they found them. The whole group seemed to be equally good at finding words as the list grew longer and longer. Terpsi gave the word Enchilada which also garnered a long list. Feeling that it was getting too easy, Terpsi gave the word Taco next. This one turned out to be not as hard as she thought when six words were found in the blink of an eye.

The group moved on to discover a girl in a lovely red dress. Terpsi oohed and aahed at it and thought that maybe she would ask Mother if a dress like that was in her future. Most of the group seemed to feel that it probably was not as it showed quite a bit of shoulder. Since clothing was on her mind, the next word Terpsi chose was Vestido. As the group started shouting out words, little doosey overheard. She quickly joined the group for word finding fun.

The fireworks seemed to draw the group for the word as Terpsi chose Fireworks. Little doosey was a quick study as she called out words as fast as she could. Lil me, Sadee and Dest!ny were calling out words in between hers but not nearly as many. In fact, as the group moved on little doosey was still finding words to the delight of everyone there.

At last they found the area with dancing music. Terpsi did a little dance and chose the word Mariachi. The group was thrilled with this word as there were so many more in it that even Euterpe joined in the challenge adding a few words of her own. The list ran so long that the hour was soon over.
