Sing A Song Of Sisters

December 24, 2004

During the Holiday Season retreat time Muse Urania surprised her sisters and Mother with a song all about them.

Who tangoes there in robe of red?
Sounds like Terpsie overhead.
Who wears a shrubb'ry in her hair?
This only Thalia-dear would dare.
Who is the Muse of His-tor-y?
Clio's the one, no mys-ter-y.
Tango there,
Plant in hair,
History buff (that's no guff)
Must be Sisters,
Must be Sisters,
Must be Sisters, Sisters all.

Who's swooning there so prettily?
None other than Melpomene.
Who's trilling tunes on an aqua flute?
Sounds to me like our Sister Eut.
Who reads aloud from the Odyssey?
That has to be Calliope.
Trills a note,
Ulysses' boat,
Sighs faintly (but daintily)
Must be Sisters,
Must be Sisters,
Must be Sisters, Sisters all.

Who likes to stargaze all night long?
Sounds like Urania's favourite song.
Whose poetry makes lovers sigh?
Erato's verse, like a lark on high.
Who's pure gold inside and out?
That's Poli's aura, there's no doubt.
Universe,
Lovers' verse,
Gleaming gold (O! behold!)
Must be Sisters
Must be Sisters
Must be Sisters, Sisters All.

Who's standing there in Robe of Blue
Who's watching over me and you?
Who's there to catch us if we fall?
Who does she love each one and all?
Tango there,
Plant in hair,
History buff
Trills a note,
Ulysses' boat,
Sighs faintly,
Universe,
Lovers' verse,
Gleaming gold.
Must be Mother's
Must be Mother's
Must be Mother's Daughters all.
