Muses Thalia and Erato decided it would be a good day to take a little stroll and play in the snow. The exercise would do them good as they had eaten so many cookies and bon bons during their retreat. They thought it would be fun to explore the Ice Castle.

"Oh Thalia, isn't the ice castle so pretty!" exclaimed Erato. Thalia agreed as they looked in all the beautiful light blue and shiny rooms. "Oh we must tell our sister Clio about this", Thalia said, "she would enjoy all these pretty shades of light blue!" They even met a few folks along the way and had fun chatting.

After seeing all the many rooms in the ice castle, the Muses worked up quite an appetite and lo and behold they discovered a room filled with food and goodies! "Well, sister", Thalia said, "since we did all this strolling, we do deserve a little snack!" The muses sampled some of the delicious items while admiring the hostesses' pretty dresses. They also wondered if Mother would let them have such festive garb. "I think not, sister", Erato said, "but we can dream!" Indeed. And they went home to nap and do just that!
