Terpsichore's Tea

Muse News

It was a wonderful wintery weekend and many friends dropped by for some of my specially brewed tea. For our Saturday morning session we shared tea and songs in the Muse Tea House Foyer where we could enjoy the sparkling lights of the tree decked with big red ribbons. My guests included Yentle, Krystal, DD, Dusty and Dark Valkyrie. I asked each to share their favorite Holiday Carol as well as help me create our very own Mad Libbed, Kymer Christmas Carol by providing a few choice words. Among the favorite songs with my Saturday guests were Jingle Bells, Silver Bells and White Christmas. Dusty and Dark Valkyrie each serenaded me with a few verses from their favorites as well.

The Sunday evening session was held in the Muse Tea Party room to accommodate the guests already awaiting my arrival. Brittany of Narnia and Britney were shortly joined by Sadee, Lady Songbird SK Elf, Lady Cottington, Skye, Sweets and Bertie. All of my guests came dressed festive and in the spirit of the season. Lady Songbird came dressed as a pink Christmas tree, with a green frog as a special ornament at the top. Lady Cottington and Sweets were walking Christmas wreaths. Some of my guests shared their favorite Holiday songs, among them; Santa Baby, Away in a Manger, Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman. As the the Saturday morning guests had provided me with words for the first part of the Kymer Christmas Carol Mad lib, my Sunday guests helped me finish it. Indeed, they were very excited to help me finish it and giggled with delight as I recited the finished Kymer Christmas Carol below.

Kymer Christmas Carol
***************************
Pancakes roasting on an open fire
Frosty the Snowman nipping at your nose
Yuletides carols being sung by the Sprites
And folks dressed up like reindeer

Everybody knows some eggnog and some
Holly help to make the season bright
Muse Clio with her eyes all aglow
Will find it hard to bake tonight

They know that Momma Muse is on her way
She's loaded lots of toys and gifts
On her horse
And every Thespian is going to spy
To see if cats really fly

And so I'm offering
This simple book to Mages
From Seven to Ten Centuries
Altho', It's been said, many times,
Many ways, Merry Kringle to you.
