Muse Urania
 Muse of astronomy, astrology and
Universal love

She is represented with a globe in her left hand and a peg in her right hand. Urania is dressed in a cloak embroidered with stars and she keeps her eyes towards the sky.  Those who are most concerned with philosophy and the heavens are dearest to her.

Urania, from the Greek "Ourania", meaning "Heavenly", is the Muse of astronomy and astrology. Represented by the staff and celestial globe, she can foretell the future from the reading the positions of the stars.

Her dark colors signify the night sky, and the mysterious veil behind which lie the secrets and mysteries of the universe. She can often be found strolling after dark gazing at the stars which illuminate the darkness, metaphors, in her eyes, for the arts and sciences which enlighten and inspire earthly existence.

Creative, imaginative and philosophical by nature, she can be as touched by the whimsical as she can be moved by the profoundly tragic. Never happier than when composing prose and poetry herself, she often turns for inspiration to her Sisters for inspiration and guidance.

Since her arrival in Kymer, she has found much creativity and warmth in the citizens there, and is herself both inspired and delighted by the prospect of helping to create and nurture an environment in which Kymerians' creativity can take wing and soar.

"[Urania] sang of night that clothed the infant world,
In strains as solemn as its dark profound--
How at the call of Jove the mist unfurled,
And o'er the swelling vault--the glowing sky,
The new-born stars hung out their lamps on high,
And rolled their mighty orbs to music's sweetest sound."
