This week Muses Erato and Euterpe were thrilled to hear all the wonderful poems created about the Pirate Ship items guests received last week.   They also heard lovely poems on other topics.  It is a constant delight to hear all the beautiful poetry the Kymerians share at Poetry Corner.

Trelaina
Eyepatch

Pitiful Pirate
Lost his eye swabbing the deck
Poked it with a mop.

A poor fool he be
Both eyes blind not to see,
what right before him.

Never has a mop
Been thought such a dangerous
peril to a man.

Lord Top Cat
Not a happy Christmas

There once was this boy,
Who just wanted a toy
for christams.
His father said yes,
his mother said NO,

The boy named Joe
Wanted to Go
To town.
His father said yes
His mother said NO

The boy named Joe
Wanted to Go
To the Candy shop.
He snuck out the back,
And went to town.
To find a silly clown
On stilts giving away presents.

The boy named Joe
went up to the clown,
The clown then saw that
the boy had a frown.
The Clown gave him a pressie,

The boy named Joe said
thank you.

The boy named Joe
saw his mother and father
looking in a shop window

The boy named Joe noticed
that it was the shop with his toy.
After he saw this, he was a happy boy.

The boy named Joe,
went home with a glow
to see his mother and father
waiting for him
They said
We were looking all over for you!!!!!!!
We thoguht you would be in the toy shop

Captain's Wheel

A Captain's wheel was giving to me,
All the posibilities I soon could see..
What do I do with this? I guess whatever I would like,
I could sail the open seas, or watch some pirates fight. <react>

I could go hunting some treasures, diamonds, rubies or even gold!
Anything is possible in this imagination of mine.. I sit back as more ideas start to unfold..
I could sail across the world, looking for unclaimed lands,
I can be anything I want to be, go anywhere I want to go. with the help of this wheel between my hands.

Anything is possible in this imagination of mine,
I turn the wheel to the right.. And what do I find?
Something on the horizon has caught my eye,
The closer I get the further it moves away, all I can do is sigh.
Apparently it was no more than a mirage.. the heat playing tricks on me,
Now I don't know whether to believe.
My adventerous day must come to an end I feel
But I had loads of fun with this Captain's Wheel!! <jump> <react>

Captured From Enemy

I have a sword in my hand
How it got here I don't understand
Captured from Enemies is what it says
But I didn't have it when I went to bed

I know I dreamed I was in a fight
With my sword I fought for right
I battled the bad guy up stairs and down
So I guess it's how his sword I must have found

Patches, The Warf Cat

Patches the Wharf Cat,
On the wharf he sat,
Mottled brown and white coat
Waiting for his owners boat

His Captain went out to sea,
And to this day he is still to be,
But Patches still waits for his return
No one told him it's time to mourn.

For the boats never coming back,
Lost at sea with all hands in fact
But on the Wharf Patches waits
Unaware of his Captains fate.

A PORTHOLE ON THE WORLD

I looked through a porthole and what did I see?
Is that a Mermaid winking at me?

wink! wink!

So many fishes in so many colors,
When fish are in school where are the mothers?

Grocery Shopping?

I see Sharks, Shrimp, and Starfish,
And lots of fish I'd like on my dinner dish!

Yummy yum yum!

I see a scuba diver swim on by
And away from him the stingrays fly!

flee! flee!

Is that Scuba Maus behind that mask??
My that Maus is up to any task!

Greetings Maus!

It's all so strange for me to see,
When the porthole on dry land it be!

Let ME LOOK!

For next week's poems, each guest was asked to look out of their windows when they returned to their homes and write about the first thing that catches their eye.  Please join them for Poetry Corner next week at 10 am in the Courtyard Cavern Garden.
