Trick or Treat
October 1, 2003

On Wednesday, Muses Terpsichore and Urania held their first Parlour Game session of the Halloween season at the Forgotten Idol in the scary Heath. To get into the spooky spirit, they brought their Trick or Treat bags and asked the folks help fill them up. First, they asked the crowd, “What would you most like to see in your Trick or Treat bags this Halloween?” Here are some of the nice and “sweets” answers: Apples, bubble gum, caramel popcorn, dumplings, extra sweet candy, gummi ghosts, forgotten candy from last year, heath bars, ice cream, junk food, Kryspycreme donuts, Mars bars, nectarines, pizza stuffed pretzels, Quizzlers sticks, raisins, sugar cookies, (at this point we were all getting hungry!) Turkish Taffy from Atlantic City, umbrellas, in case it rains, waffles with blueberry syrup, very dark chocolate, xylophone (to go trick or treating as musicians), yellow squash and Zagnuts!

Next the Muses ask the folks what they would NOT like to see in their bags after trick or treating and my oh my did they come up with some spooky and evil goodies like: Aardvark lips, batty bat brownies, chewed caramel, devils food cake, evil elephant ears, freaky fearsome food, ghoul ghost gut chewies (yuk!!!) hot peppers, illicit tree sap, jumping jugulars (how macabre!) Kjata’s dirty socks (ewwww!!) and at that scary thought, the sinister Crash Family kidnapped Muse Terpsichore for a few minutes but she escaped successfully!!!!

After all welcomed back Muse Terpsichore, relieved that she was unharmed, we finished off the evening with a round of songs which seems to have become a very pleasant and musical tradition to end the games. A festive, spooky time was had and the new October “Vladimir” necklace Muse gifts were happily received by all!

Please join Muses Terpsichore and Urania at their weekly Parlour Game every Wednesday at 4:00pm WAT! Enjoy the season!!
