Prophetess Mnemosyne and Muse Melpomene decided that it would be quite entertaining to play The Rhyming Cat. We had some new players so Mother and Melpomene took a minute to explain how the game was played. After Capt Cranky practiced facing the hedge, the game began. The first word of the evening was real, since the game is real easy. Many good words were given before Maiden was buzzed for reusing the word deal. Mother thought play would be a good word to rhyme, so that began the second round. India almost had to face the hedge for repeating the word way, but since she spoke out of turn, she got away with it. The group began to get very creative in using the rhyming word in a phrase, and also using the days of the week. There were many rounds with that word before Thorny used the word stay which was buzzed.
A couple more rounds were played. The rhyming word, ear, didn't even make one full round before dear Mother had to face the hedge. Her use of the word cheer was immediately buzzed, so a new round was started with the word lost. ¤Vishus¤ (CD) repeated Melpomene's word of tossed, so she was then facing the hedge. Mother decided the next word should be hoop after watching Acolyte Painter Serena's demonstration with the hula hoop. Of course you can imagine the first word to rhyme with it. Was it a coincidence that she was the one to face the hedge that round? Power was the word repeated, and since it was the last round, Muse Melpomene told everyone to turn, just to see how many would. Capt Cranky, Tiny Pet and DS Jester Riff Raff all turned, but the rest refused to turn.
DS Jester Riff Raff sang a song for the group (written by DS Jester Sunshine) for the Muses. After the Jester's song, necklaces were given to all who wanted them. The Muses returned home, carrying the lovely flowers that Kizza had given to them. |
