| 1. | Obtain a hosting program if needed, and practice! |
| 2. | Once you have practiced and feel comfortable with your hosting style, fill out the Guide Sponsor Request Form. Your form will be submitted to our team of Guides within 72 hours (3 days) of receipt. If a Guide is available for sponsorship, they will contact you. If you are not contacted within 2 weeks of submitting this form, please send in another sponsorship request. Some guides have taken on as many hosts as they can handle and can take on no more. |
| 3. | Once you are accepted for sponsorship, your new sponsor will contact you, and inform you of your next steps to becoming a VZC host. This will probably include a minimum two (2) week trial period as a "practice host" using a sponsor-provided practice prize. This practice period may last as long as 2 months with a minimum/maximum of one scheduled and monitored game per week. |

| 5. | Pick a date, time and preferred location in which to have your sponsored and/or practice game. Check the Daily Event Schedule and make sure the same kind of event is not already going on at the same time in the same city. Once that is checked, meet with your sponsor to have your event added to the events calendar. Your guide sponsor will take care of adding your event to the schedule. It may be take a few weeks before your see your event on the schedule. Once you become sponsored, all changes or updates to your hosting schedule must be made by your Guide Sponsor. Please contact him/her directly. |
| 6. | Time slots for hosting in each city are available on a first come - first serve basis. |
| 7. | You will not be able to host an event in a city where an event of a similar nature is already scheduled. If you'd like to host Free Bingo in Detroit at 8pm and that slot has been filled by another Free Bingo game, you can host Free Bingo in another area such as the Game Zone, Silicon Valley, Detroit, Honolulu, MM, and London (***Private turfs are excluded.***). Delphi, PLD, and AOD are considered partner suites and you may not host there without prior approval from that partner. |
| 8. | FREE games sponsored by the staff of VZC are to remain FREE, available to all members (unless previously banned from a sponsored hosts event.) Free games MUST be indicated on the public Event Calendar as FREE, and approved by your sponsor, not to deviate from current Prize Policy. Tokens may not be donated for the pot in FREE bingo, and may ONLY be accepted for jackpot. In a sponsored session of bingo where prizes are given, each round must be entirely free. No pot bingo rounds may be mixed in with free rounds. Prizes will be furnished for 4 rounds of bingo per session, including one bingo prize and one jackpot prize per round. No token exchange should take place in any rounds with the exception of jackpot donations, if the host desires. |

the same day for the regular schedule, Large Scale Events will be considered separately. *Revised 12/11/00 |

For any host to ban a player from their games indefinitely, the host must FIRST report the harassment to their sponsor, the sponsor and the host will be required to seek an amicable solution prior to the next step. If harassment continues, the host and sponsor must submit to the Event Caretaker documentation of the harassment, and attempted reconciliation of the problem at hand prior to making a final judgment. The decision of the Event Caretaker will be *final.* |
| 11. | Show up at the game, and host! It is the host's responsibility to show for his/her scheduled game. If you are unable to attend your hosted event for any reason, you must notify your sponsor. If you know in advance that you will miss a game, it is encouraged that you find a replacement host to fill in for you. All replacement hosts must be currently sponsored hosts. Consult your Guide Sponsor regarding provision of prizes for a replacement host. If you are consistently absent without notifying your sponsor, your time slot will be reviewed and may result in release from sponsored status. |
| 12. | For more detailed information, or to submit questions regarding these policies, please visit the Hosting FAQ page at http://vzmembers.com/kenn/policyfaq.html |
| Non-Sponsored Hosting: Non-sponsored hosts may be added to the public Event Calendar, it is not mandatory to be on the calendar, but it is an available advertising option to all. Non-sponsored hosts must submit their event at the first of each month if they wish the event to remain on the calendar. Whether hosts choose to be placed on the schedule or not, they should considerately comply with the hosting policies as stated throughout this document. These include: Respecting hosts, whether sponsored or not. To be included, but not limited to: |
| a. | No advertising your event during another game. |
| b. | Preview the public Event Calendar prior to beginning an impromptu game, to ensure you do not encroach on the policy of no two games of the same kind in the same city at the same time. |
| c. | No harassment of any host will be tolerated -- sponsored or not. |
| Failure to comply with Hosting Policies of Sponsored and Non-sponsored hosts can possibly result in power usage, in order to settle disputes in a timely manner. You may use the form at: http://vzmembers.com/events/nonsponsored.htm to submit your event to be added to the public event calendar if you are NOT a sponsored host. |
| 1. | You must be a consistent sponsored host for a minimum of 2 months before receiving monthly prize support. |
| 2. | When you are eligible, notify your guide sponsor who will in turn notify the Prize Caretaker of your eligibility. |
| 3. | Monthly prize support will begin during the next complete month. |
| 4. | All Monthly prizes will be the same item for all hosts and will be distributed to you by your Guide Sponsor. |
| Large-Scale Events: A day-long event with a particular theme such as: Turkey Harvest or Winter Festival events. Large-Scale Events are planned by the Events Committee and will be hosted approximately once a month. Sponsored hosts will be asked to participate in the planning of the events by submitting creative, interactive game/event ideas. It is the goal of the Events Committee to make Large-Scale Events "special". The games/events hosted should be creative alternatives based on the theme of the event. If you have a Large-Scale Event idea you should contact your Guide Sponsor and discuss it with them. The Events Committee will meet to discuss future Large-Scale Events and your Guide Sponsor can make the proposal for your Large-Scale Event idea. |

SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER ONCE YOU BECOME A HOST:
| 1. | Hosting an event in a private turf: If a host runs an event in a private turf, and if he/she encounters a disruptive participant, that host may reserve the right to eject that participant. Guides/Caretakers will not get involved in disputes that occur in a private turf. |
| 2. | Community Event Hosts in VZC do not represent the Avaterra.com Team in any way shape or form. They are members who provide events for other residents. Guides and Caretakers are the only group who represent the Avaterra.com Team. |
| 3. | Event Locales: It has long been determined that no one "owns" a locale. For this reason, we provide the event in our schedule of events to avoid conflicts of this nature. Please check the events calendar carefully when planning an event. |
| 4. | Guides may differ in techniques of support. |
| 5. | Please do not wait until you are out of prizes to contact your sponsor for more prizes. Replenishment of prizes, must be submitted 1 week in advance. Please do not expect your Guide Sponsor to be on call for your needs. |
