| Game Times: You can not host the same game at the same place or time as another Host.
Your Guide/CT Sponsor will send all scheduling information in for you to be added to the schedule.
Players: All sponsored games must be free to all players.
Awarding Prizes: If a player is unable to get the prize from you because they have poofed, leave them
ESP mail to contact you (THE HOST) to get their prize.
The Host must hold that prize for the Winner for a week. If the prize is not claimed by then, it's returned
to the Sponsor, with explanation.
If Host poofs before the prize can be handed to the winner, follow the same guidelines if you are not able
to return in time to hand it to them directly.
You must have at LEAST 5 players attending to hold the game. If you do not have at least 5 players, the game must be cancelled for that day.
Missed Games: Hosts make a commitment to host a minimum of 1 game a week.
If you find you're consistently unable to make the time slot you set aside, PLEASE adjust your times to better fit your schedule.
Continued missing of your games, will result in the removal of your sponsorship until you are able to
fulfill your commitment.
Substitute Hosts & Sub Hosted Games:
If you need to miss a game, you may find a substitute host to fill in for you.
ONLY Sponsored Host in good standing can Sub a Sponsored game.
It is your responsibility to supply the sub with the set of prizes for your game.
You can not hold the game at another time.
If you are unable to locate a sub, please post your game cancellation in the Host Forum, nH official forum & email your Sponsor that you had to miss your game & explain why.
If a game has been sub for you...
If a sponsored daily game or event game is subbed and prizes are not made available to the substitute Host by the end of the game hour, the sub Host is to create & save a winners list, right after game...post the winners list in the Host Forum in the appropriate place & pass on the winners list IN EMAIL to the originally scheduled Host's Sponsor, the original scheduled Host is responsible for delivering prizes to the winners of the daily or event game as soon as they are available.
When a Host has not appeared for their game:
The Public Hosted game can NOT be moved, it must be hosted where scheduled.
If the game is scheduled to be hosted in a turf & sub host is not on the lease, if the game does not need a special set up to host it, the game may be subbed in the sub locale for that turf area.
A Substitute Host may NOT sub a game without waiting at the very least 10 minutes from game start time, to allow for the Original Host to show.
Posted Canceled or listed LOA Games are NOT to be subbed.
Unused Prizes: If you must cancel a game & a sub did not hold the game, unused prizes will be returned to your Sponsor & will not be carried over for use into another game hosted later.
Alt Hosts: If you desire to also use your Alts to host sponsored games, you must discuss this with & get approval from your Sponsor First.
You & ALL your alts must be sponsored by the same Sponsor.

Hosting IN Events
ONLY Sponsored Hosts are allowed to sign up to Host IN Events.
Hosting in Event Games: Once you have hosted for 2 months, you are in good standing, & Sponsor
agrees that you are ready, you may host in the Events.
A sponsored Host must of have been sponsored for 6 months before actually running/holding or co-hosting in an event.
You Must Read these Event Guidelines. Please do NOT sign up to host in an Event, a game that you are not already VERY familiar/comfortable
with. An event game is not the time to practice/learn a new game. Event Game Times: When signing up to host, please check the Daily Schedule and make sure you do not
sign up & conflict with the same game already on the Daily game schedule.
Event Prizes: YOU MUST EMAIL your Sponsor every time you have been added to an Event Schedule.
Email your Sponsor at the very least by the Event schedule closing (the Wednesday before the event).
Your Sponsor must request the prize sets you need. If your Sponsor is unaware you are signed up for an
event in time for them to request your prize sets from Event Staff..You may very well be without prizes for
your game.
*******************************************
Awarding Main Placing Event Prizes
Hosts can not award more then ONE placing prize(1st-4th) to any one certain player during a single game.
Each Player during that game's hour slot, can only win ONE main placing prize.
Example:names not chosen for any particular reason, just for use in the example!):
Lets say….
Jill (host) is hosting a game, Millie(player) wins first place prize, Millie can not win any other main placing prize during that particular game time slot/hour from Jill. Millie can however win Jackpots & door prizes.
Now…..
If say...Millie(player) leaves that game & goes to Joe's( host) game during that same hour & begins to play his game, Millie can win a main placing prize in his game, but again she may only win ONE main place prize from his game as well.
******************************
Event Games in Private Turfs: If you choose to host an Event game in your private turf, please have
someone else on the lease that can host the game for you in case you can not make it.
If you're a no show & no sub can be contacted to hold the game that is also on your game turf lease, the game must be canceled IF it is a special set up sort of game, that the sub lobby locale cannot meet it's needs. If this is not the case, the game could be subbed by a sponsored Host in the sub lobby locale for that turf.
Contest Judges: When hosting contests requiring Judges, do NOT reveal your judges!
Staff persons(CT's/Guides), must be used as Judges in contests held during events.
Fair warning hateful emails or in world text to Judges will not be taken well.
Prize support for Event games:
Prize sets come from your Sponsor delivered to your locker usually by Friday evening before Event.
Again..when signing up for a event, AS SOON as you know you have been added to schedule
CONTACT YOUR SPONSOR, so they know you'll be needing prizes for that Event, include in your e-mail
to Your Sponsor: Day(s) your hosting & how many games per day& the type of games you'll be hosting for
each slot.
Waiting until the last minute is not acceptable.
Event prize sets are ALL the same as far as content in the set.
Event Prize set(s) include: 1st-4th place prizes, 4 Event Door Prizes
1 Host Gift ( that the Host keeps as a gift for hosting in the event)
These types of things may be hosted during events: Costume contest, Turf Contest, Poem Contest,
Story Contest, Recipe Contest etc…
For these types of activities you would use 4 main prizes & 4 door prizes.
You would award a 1st - 4th place, you can raffle the door prizes off to players that did not win a main
place prize in the contest.
Staff Judges must be used for these types of contest.
Door prizes may be used to give out for attendance to Plays during an Event.
Missing Event Prizes:
If for some reason you find yourself without Event prizes for your game(s) you can:
1.Email & ESP your Sponsor in search of your missing prize set(s).If you are unable to get a response
before your game.
2.ESP Caretaker Polly, Gilbie (WM), Snowflake (WM),
or Senior Caretaker Witchy, if you can not find any of them in
newHorizone you can email: Caretaker Polly and Gilbie (WM)
nhevents@vzoners.com & explain you were without prizes. Then
continue on to number 3.
3. If you are still unable to round up Event prize set(s), Host your game, keep a list of Winners.
Get Event prize set(s) as soon as possible & deliver your prizes to winners.
Event Winners List:
Event Game Hosts must keep winners list & post them in the Host Forum under the thread for that Event.
Unused Event Prizes: These will be return to your Sponsor & NOT used in Daily games, or other Events.
Failure to handle unused sets correctly can prevent you from running future Events or hosting in Events.
Event Players:
You must have at LEAST 5 players to hold a game.
Monthly Prize Support( Monthly Prize Tickets):
Once you have hosted for 2 months, you may start hosting a Monthly Prize Game (progressive game).
Monthly Prize Tickets are used for awarding winners that have won involved with Progressive games.
Monthly ticket winners must be posted ASAP, or you could very well lose the option of doing progressive games.
You must hold at least 75% of your monthly games, to award the monthly ticket. For instance, at the very least held 3 out of 4 games of that progressive game for that month.
There is 2 ways to hold these.
#1 - The prize winners at each of your weekly games
plays a short playoff game at the end of the month.
The winner gets the Monthly Prize.
#2 - You keep a running total of points or scores for
all your games during the month and the Top scorer
wins the Monthly Prize.
This means ALL trivia games you host in a month get 1 Monthly Prize.
All Bingo you host in a month gets 1 Monthly Prize.
All Acro games you host in a month gets 1 Monthly Prize etc... for All games.
Once a player has won this prize, they can not win it again from that scheduled game for 6 months. AS AN
EXAMPLE: Their wait would start at the beginning of the very next month & move 6 months forward as
these games are held/prizes awarded at the end of the month..so... If they won at the end of Oct it would go
like this…Nov. starts the 6 month wait & goes till May..they could win again at that game at the end of May. They can win it in other games..but not from this game until May.
You must post your Winners of these monthly prizes in the Host Forum.
******************************************************************************************************************************************************

Forced Ghosted...
1st offense: Warning
2nd offense: 2 week suspension.
3rd offense: 1 month suspension
4th offense: 3 month suspension
5th offense: Removal from hosting
************************************************************************************************************************************** Host's LOA: LOA (leave of absence): If you need a week or two off for vacation etc... Email your Sponsor requesting a
LOA.
Your Sponsor will send in a request to have your games listed as LOA on the game schedule(s).
Please remember you must contact your Sponsor as soon as your ready to return to sponsored hosting, so
that they may have the LOA removed from the game schedules.
LOA's one month or more require that your games be removed from the Daily Game Schedules.
Your games can be re added on your return.
LOA's 2 months or more will require that your access to the Host Forum be removed & removal from your
Sponsor's Host list.
When & if you return from a 2 month or longer LOA, you can contact your former Sponsor & ask to be
re sponsored, if your former Sponsor is not accepting Host at this time, you may ask any of the other
Sponsors if they are interested in sponsoring you.
You can now sub Daily & Event games while LOA, as long as you are still sponsored (on a LOA of less then
two months).
You still may not sign up to Host in a Event that will be held during your LOA, but if asked you can sub a Daily game or Event Game.
When on suspension, you are not to host or sub for sponsored games on the Daily game schedule or in
Events anywhere in newHorizone. This includes Partner Areas.
*****************************************************************************************************************************************
Players
Problem Player(s):
As a sponsored Host, it is your job to handle many different personalities.
Sometimes this means dealing with an assortment of problems with players.
Fore-most please try to remain patient, patience plays a BIG part of hosting games, especially during event games. :) If patience is not your virtue, sponsored hosting may not be for you.
Please be respectful in your answers to players/members & never try to shame a player/member with your answers.
Do not argue/debate with a player/member in public text.
Please remember this could be a new member, could be a member new to playing this game or games in nH.
Please keep the above in mind before jumping to the conclusion that the member is out to cause problems.
Now that being said....
This does not mean you must deal with harassment.
As an example: in Bingo, a disruptive player is to be warned at least twice. If the disruption continues, the host
may put the player on ignore.
Repeatedly calling false bingo would be considered disruptive behavior, if it is being done over & over, but please leave room for consideration a connection problem/lag may be coming into play here.
Consider the above before jumping to the conclusion that it is being done purposely.
Always save screen shots of text when possible, ALWAYS save text period validating why you denied a player/member to play or when a member/player is causing problems, email to your Sponsor.
The player/member must be allowed to play at your next game.
Each game is to be treated as a separate incident..unless the
player/member continually harasses you over a duration of time meaning, several days/weeks, save text to send to your Sponsor & support, then place the player/member on ignore. Ask the other players to also place the player on ignore. If they continue to come to your games and do not behave, you may submit, through your Sponsor, to ban them from all of your games BUT you may NOT ban a player from all of your games without FIRST having approval/permission from World Management, given to your Sponsor & you to ban the specific player/member from your games.
Each avatar is to be treated as their own person.
You have no way of knowing who is an alt/another account of a member/player.
You may not simply disallow an avatar to play just because you "think" you know it's someone's alt.
No matter how certain you think you are it is an alt of someone giving you troubles, you are not to assume this & disallow them to play. To disallow a player to play THAT VERY AVATAR must be giving you problems.
Again each avatar is to be treated as their own person.
AFK Players:
AFK Players & Awarding Door Prizes: If after 3 calls the player does not respond, the player looses the
door prize. As long as the host(s) announces this before the game and in their rules(save time stamped
text to support your calling the player 3 times), then you are covered. The Host does not have to hold it.
The Host draws replacement name and moves on.
AFK Players & Awarding Placing Prizes 1st-4th: IF the player wins & after calling them three times they do
not respond, pocket the prize to hold for them & move on.
IF there is a tie involved, 3 calls, no response, they loose the tie breaker, prize is award to the player they tied with or you continue with the tie breaker with other players involved with the tie. Players should not have to wait around for the others that have gone AFK without bothering to notify the Host.
Now, if it is a case that the player has ESP'd the Host and said they have to be AFK for just a minute
(bathroom, etc), then give the player a few minutes to respond(reasonable time: roughly 10 minutes at the
most)... but if they are not back in a reasonable time, the player(s) they tied with is awarded the prize.
If more then two players are involved with the tie, you go ahead with the tie breaker. Again save
time stamped text to back you up. Please warn players at the beginning of your games this is how you
intend to handle these matters in your game.
Crashed/Poofed/Non Responsive Players
During The Games
Hosts are not responsible for watching cards or holding during rounds:
While we understand that Players may need to be away from keyboard or poof, due to time contstraints to finish games on time, Hosts are not responsible for watching cards.
For Bingo: The Host is not responsible for watching the numbers on cards and they are NOT allowed to call Bingo for players.
For Slots(including Turbo and Poker) and Yahtzee:
If a Player should be away from the keyboard or poof, the Host can call for anchors(poofed/crashed players) 3 times.
If the anchor/anchors do not respond, the Host is to then override the hold as (,0,0,0) for slots and (0,0,0,0,0) for Yahtzee.
Furthermore, if the Host choses to override for a poofing/unresponsive player, they may only override anchors/poofed/crashed players for a total of three rounds.
At the beginning of the third round, the Host is to announce that this will be the last round for holding. Following the three rounds, the Player/Players are to be deleted from the game.
Disclaimers need to be run at the beginning of your games explaining how you will be handling unresponsive players.
Your handling it must be within the guidelines above.
Players Alts:
Weekly Games
Each account has the right to play games, But for any game that voting is required for points, alts can not
play. These included: Mind Game, ACRO, Yarn, PFI, LBC, and other games of these types where players votes determine the score.
Event Games:
It is allowed for a host to request no Alts in EVENT games where there are LIMITED number of players. A
Host can not exclude any player from playing with an Alt at these games if the member chooses to ignore the
Host's request. These include Back Off, VZatchee, Secret Word, Musical Chairs, Lucky Numbers, and games
of this type. This is not in effect for regular weekly games. This is for EVENT Only.
**********************************************************************
Sponsored Bingo:
The host may allow 1 or 2 cards at the start of game.
Host must clearly state before game starts the amount of cards allowed for that round.
Each Bingo session will have 4 games. 1 major prize and one door prize for each game.
Jackpot may be used in free games for the distribution of prizes, If 2nd bingo is used instead, then the 2nd
bingo gets the door prize. A token Jackpot may be held in the final game of the session, but will not take
place of any prize.
Donations are not mandatory.
The pattern needed to win, and the prize to be awarded is to be announced before each game starts.
The host is not responsible for watching player’s cards. Sometimes players "poof". Poofing is a risk we
take in playing games on the Internet & uncontrollable by Host.
The Host will NOT call bingo for a player.
A Bingo Host may award the prizes in any order, as long as it’s announced before the game starts.
