This page is to answer
any questions you may have about newHorizone's dropped item Hunts.
You may be wondering,
"What is this Hunt stuff, anyway?!"
Here's the information you'll need
to be able to join in on one of newHorizone's
old traditional favorite activities!
During staff-run events, there will be hunts for
dropped items. The hunts will generally start at 1:00AM VZT on Saturday
and run until maintenance downtime on Sunday. newHorizone time (nHT
or VZT) is the same as US Pacific Coast time. There may also be
occasional one-day hunts on weekdays to celebrate special occasions
or holidays.
The most widely used drop item will be the traditional
old favorite fox. Other items that are in keeping with the theme
of a specific event may also be used.
To find out when a staff member is out hiding items,
go to the "Who's Hiding and Dropping" locale that is located south
(down) from the Announcement locale.
Staff members will hide the items in public locales.
They will not hide or drop an item if anyone is in the locale: live,
parked or ghosted.
When a member -- this could be you! -- finds the
item, click on it and Get it! First one to grab it owns it!
When you have picked up the item, please stay in
the locale for a moment and let the staff member unghost, greet
you and add you to their finders list. This list helps us in case
of a server warp; we can use the list to replace items for finders.
The finders' list will be kept for one month from the date of the
hunt.
Remember that staff members are not
allowed to give out clues as to their whereabouts! Please don't put
them on the spot by asking.
